About ISAS
The Indian Society of Analytical Scientists
(ISAS), founded in 1983 at the Bhabha Atomic
Research Centre, Mumbai, has grown into
a 3,200-member multidisciplinary national forum of analytical science
professionals. With 10 chapters across India, ISAS brings together experts from
industry, academia, and R&D institutions spanning atomic energy, space,
defense, agriculture, environment, health sectors and many more.
During the pandemic, ISAS launched biweekly webinars where leading experts shared knowledge and experience across science and technology domains. Fulfilling a long-standing vision, ISAS launched its open-access, peer-reviewed, quarterly e-journal “Journal of ISAS” with ISSN and DOI registration. Offered free of charge to both authors and readers, the journal completed four successful years on 30 April 2026. ISAS also circulates a quarterly e-newsletter to keep members informed and connected with the recent advancements in the field of analytical science.
ISAS has hosted more than 20 National
and International version of Analytical
Science congress creating a vibrant platform for experts, researchers, and
students to learn, share, and collaborate. Since, 2022 these events are
conducted annually.
Our Mission: ISAS promotes excellence, relevance, and purposeful direction in both routine and innovative analytical work by providing top-tier expertise in analytical sciences, technology, and management. We are committed to disseminating knowledge, fostering scientific temper, and supporting the analytical community of scientists, academicians, and students.
Over the years, eminent scientists from national laboratories have been honored with ISAS Life Time Achievement Awards, Atma Nirbharta Awards, ISAS Fellowships, and other recognition for professional excellence.
Today, ISAS is recognized as India’s premier professional body for analytical scientists and technologists.
